According to a survey by real estate consultancy ANAROCK, Delhi NCR’s unsold housing stock saw a 23 percent annually reduction from about 1,23,692 units by the end of 2022 to about 94,803 units by the end of 2023—the biggest annual inventory decline among the top 7 cities.

According to the survey, the NCR’s inventory is smaller than that of cities like Hyderabad and Pune for the first time in ten years. The expert cited high sales velocity and a limited supply of new residential properties as the main causes of the decline in the housing inventory.

According to research data from Anarock, the number of unsold apartments in Delhi-NCR reached 94,803 units at the end of 2023—a decadal low—for the first time in the previous ten years, falling below one lakh units.
