Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s December 30 opening of the new airport and renovated railway station, the Uttar Pradesh city of Ayodhya has gained attention in recent weeks.
Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has brought a plot to build a mansion to the city, which is another event that could improve the city’s reputation, according to a Hindustan Times story.
The 81-year-old actor has bought a block of property in “The Saraya,” a 51-acre, seven-star mixed-use community in the city, from Mumbai-based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).
“I am excited to travel to Ayodhya, a city that is very dear to my heart, and begin this adventure with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu. Ayodhya’s ageless spirituality and rich cultural heritage have created an emotional bond that cuts beyond distance.
