According to Nirupa Shankar, joint managing director of Brigade Group, Bengaluru, the group would add 3.15 million sq ft (msf) of office space in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad by the end of FY25. The business is also building 1.4 million square feet and hopes to generate Rs 400 crore in income from these two projects.
A total of 1.2 million square feet of office space in Bengaluru, 1 million square feet in Hyderabad, and the remaining portion in Chennai are planned.
We presently have functioning office assets totaling 7.5 msf. However, we intend to expand 4.5 million square feet in total across the three cities in the next two years. In the next four years, the overall operating office portfolio with these new additions is expected to be around 12 msf, according to Shankar.
The group in Bengaluru is keeping an eye on future developments in Whitefield, the eastern IT hotspot. The company plans to finish building its 1.3 million square foot office complex in north Bengaluru by the first quarter of the upcoming fiscal year.
