Delhi’s Khan Market Remains India’s Most Expensive Retail High-Street, 22nd Globally
According to a report published by real estate consulting firm Cushman & Wakefield, Delhi’s Khan Market has once again cemented its position as a retail hotspot, becoming the most costly retail market in India and holding onto its 22nd position in the global ranking of main street markets with a 7% year-over-year (YoY) increase in its rentals.
Milan’s Via Montenapoleone has become the most expensive retail destination in the world, surpassing New York’s Upper 5th Avenue high-street market, where rents have increased by about a third in the last two years.
The three priciest shopping avenues in India are currently found in Delhi-NCR: Galleria Market (Gurgaon), Khan Market, and Connaught Place. The most reasonably priced high-street market in the Asia-Pacific area is Anna Nagar in Chennai.
