People with knowledge of the situation told Moneycontrol that Edifice Engineering, the company responsible for the August 2022 controlled explosion of the Supertech twin buildings in Noida, had started work on demolishing the five towers of the Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram.

The company executives stated that the mechanical demolition technique will be used to demolish all five towers, which are D, E, F, G, and H.

The apartment owners have written to the deputy commissioner to instruct the builder to begin paying the rent for alternative housing to tenants who have opted to rebuild their apartments at the same location as the demolition process has begun.
