Godrej Properties to Launch Rs 21,000 Crore Worth Housing Projects by March

In order to capitalize on robust consumer demand and attain a 20% increase in sales bookings this fiscal year, Godrej Properties plans to introduce residential projects valued at Rs 21,000 crore in key cities by the end of March.

Executive chairman Pirojsha Godrej of the company expressed confidence in the company’s ability to reach the targeted sales bookings of Rs 27,000 crore for the current fiscal year in an interview with PTI. The company’s sales bookings surged by 84% to a record Rs 22,527 crore in the last fiscal year, making it the largest among listed real estate companies in 2023–2024.

When asked about the upcoming launches, Pirojsha stated, “This fiscal year, we aim to launch projects worth Rs 30,000 crore.” The first quarter of this fiscal year has seen the launch of projects totaling almost Rs 9,000 crore. According to him, there is a robust launch pipeline for the next three quarters. For group housing developments, Godrej Properties primarily concentrates on the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Plots in tier II cities are sold by it. When asked about the June quarter’s performance, Pirojsha Godrej stated that sales bookings were still one of the major highlights. “With 8.9 million square feet sold in total, this is the highest quarterly booking volume by any developer in the nation.” The sales booking value increased significantly as well, over 300 per cent to around Rs 8,600 crore, he said.
