For its Global City project in Gurugram, the Haryana State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is accepting bids for four mixed-use plots. The total area of these four land lots is 172.76 acres, according to officials with knowledge of the plan.
According to officials, the 1,000-acre Global City has a $15 billion investment potential. The plots for residential and commercial construction will be up for sale.
Next to the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram’s sectors 36B, 37A, and 37B is where HSIIDC’s Global City is being built. Residential areas, commercial areas, and industrial clusters will all be included in the concept. With an emphasis on cutting-edge technology industries, low-carbon green infrastructure, ease of living, skill development, and job creation, it is envisioned as an independent township.
Date of auction
“The auction is scheduled for December 5th, 2023, with registration closing on November 20, 2023. By the end of this month, the pre-bid meeting is probably going to take place in Gurugram, an HSIIDC representative said Moneycontrol.
Plot size
The official said the auction will be held for four plots measuring 86.05 acres, 23.76 acres, 58.11 acres, and 4.84 acres.
Land use
The parcels measuring 86.05 and 23.76 acres will have 65 percent commercial use and 35 percent residential use. The 58.11-acre plot will have 50-50 commercial and residential development. The 4.84-acre plot is reserved for institutions (schools).
Price
The rate for the 86.05-acre plot is Rs 1,47,500 per square metre, while it is Rs 1,28,00 per square metre for the 23.76-acre plot, and Rs 1,21,000 per square metre for the 58.11-acre parcel. The rate for the institutional category plot measuring 4.84 acres is much less — Rs 56,500 per square metre — as it’s reserved for the construction of a school.
Facilities the Global City will offer
One of the distinctive features of the Global City, according to officials, will be a “utility tunnel” under the roads.
Utilities of all kinds, such as phone, electricity, and water lines, will use this tunnel. According to officials, once such a tunnel is in place, there won’t be a need to construct roads in order to fix problems or update the utilities network.
Bicyclists and walkers will have their own paths in the Global City. The city is projected to be traversed by a number of public transportation options, including the Gurugram-Bawal metro corridor and the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). The development of interstate and intercity bus terminals close to the township would improve the area’s connectivity. It would contain arterial highways 60 meters wide, as well as 45-metre-wide sub-arterial roads.
The RRTS is a high speed, high capacity railway service connecting regional nodes in the NCR.
