Gurugram RERA Rejects Godrej’s Project Extension Application, Freezes Project’s Account For non-Compliance
Godrej Developers and Properties LLP’s application for a project extension has been denied by the real estate regulatory authority (RERA), Gurugram, due to sustained violations of the Real Estate (Regulations & Development) Act 2016.
In Sector 85 in Gurugram, Godrej Properties is building the group housing complex Godrej Air Phase 4.
In an order, the Authority stated that the Godrej Air phase 4 project promoter had been repeatedly reminded to correct certain deficiencies in the application, such as the license renewal and the discrepancy between the bank balance details provided in the quarterly progress report (QPR) and the CA certificate.
The RERA registration was acquired by the promoter in December 2018 and was good until June 2023, at which point the housing project had to be finished. Godrej filed an application under Section 6 of the RERA Act with RERA Gurugram, requesting a further extension of the registration to finish the project.
