No Registry, no Vote: Homebuyers in Noida and Greater Noida Threaten to Boycott Lok Sabha Polls Over Pending Registries
Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, homebuyers and residents of many group housing societies in Noida and Greater Noida West have started a campaign called “No Registry, No Vote” because they are unhappy about the issue of outstanding registries.
If the registers of their flats are not completed, they stated they will either not exercise their right to vote or select NOTA in the next Lok Sabha elections later this month. In certain apartment buildings, people have also hung big signs that say “No Registry, No Vote” for politicians to see on their balconies and society gates.
On April 26, 2024, Lok Sabha elections will be held in the Gautam Budh Nagar constituency’s areas of Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway.
Residents in the Gautam Buddha Nagar constituency of Noida and Greater Noida have posted “No Registry-No Vote” banners for politicians visiting their societies as part of their Lok Sabha campaign trail, angered by politicians’ broken pledges to complete their registries in the past.
