Two sectors in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district have been set aside by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial building Authority (YEIDA) for the building of industrial cities in Korea and Japan. According to Live Hindustan, the cities will house businesses from the two nations as well as housing for their foreign employees.
On Sector 5A of the expressway, the Japanese city would take up 395 hectares, and on Sector 4A, the Korean city will occupy 365 hectares. According to Arun Vir Singh, CEO of the authority, the cities will include electronic centers housing companies that make chips, semiconductors, cameras, and AI technology. He went on to say that the cities would support themselves and provide housing, healthcare, education, and other amenities for the residents who were Korean and Japanese.
CEO Arun Vir Sigh was reported by TOI as saying, “They are being planned to be self-sufficient, with provisions for housing, schools, hospitals and other essential amenities for the Japanese and Korean citizens staying there.”
The proximity to Jewar’s Noida International Airport is anticipated to be advantageous to the project. Furthermore, “Japanese” and “Korean” cities are made possible by exemptions from stamp taxes and land fees.
