Pune Real Estate Market Reports 52% Jump of Property Registrations in March
The Maharashtra government’s Department of Registrations and Stamps – the Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamp (IGR) – reported that the Pune real estate market saw a 52 percent year-over-year (YoY) increase in property registrations in March 2024, with 21,744 properties filed as opposed to 14,309 a year earlier.
In February 2024, there were about 17,575 property units registered in the district, and stamp duty revenue totaled Rs 620 crore.
Significant development was also observed in the stamp duty revenues in March 2024, which increased from Rs 621 crore in March 2023 to Rs 804 crore.
Approximately 146,924 properties were registered in Pune in FY24, and stamp duty revenue was at Rs 5,785 crore, as reported by real estate consulting firm Knight Frank India.
