Yamuna Expressway Authority to Develop New City Near Noida Airport, to Acquire Over 6000 Hectares of Land
According to people with knowledge of the situation, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has chosen to purchase some 6,065 hectares of agricultural land in order to build a new metropolis close to the future Noida International Airport.
According to YEIDA authorities, the decision was made in response to growing demand in the neighborhoods surrounding the proposed airport for institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.
According to the proposal, the authority intends to spend more than Rs 63,000 crore on the development of urban infrastructure in the area and seeks to purchase land from 40 neighboring villages in the next two years, according to officials. A budget of Rs 14,000 crore has been allocated for the purpose of acquiring land.
